Mexico AVTS is one of 59 area vocational schools located throughout the state and serves junior and senior students from nine school districts (Centralia, Community R-VI, Fulton, Mexico, Montgomery County R-II, North Callaway, Paris, Van-Far, and Wellsville-Middletown), as well as adults from the Northeast corner of Missouri.

The school offers students entry level skills as well as technical skills to continue their education.
