VOTER REGISTRATION INFORMATION To register to vote in Audrain County, a person must be a U.S. citizen, be 171/2 Years of age (18 years old by election day), and be a resident of Audrain County. How do I become a registered voter? A resident of Audrain County may register to vote at the County Clerk’s office and several other sites throughout the county, including the city hall in Vandalia, all public libraries, state motor vehicle registration offices and state funded agencies dealing with public assistance and the disabled. In order to vote in any election for which registration is required, a person must be registered by the fourth Wednesday prior to the election.What happens if I move to a different address in Audrain County? A voter who moves within Audrain County should notify the County Clerk’s Office of a change of address. This may be done by sending a signed letter to the County Clerk’s office giving the voter’s full name, the address at which he or she was registered, and the new address. Change of address forms are also available at all registration sites. What happens if I have a name change? If a registered voter has a legal name change notify the County Clerk’s office in writing.
